And we checked the issue and can you please tell us if you are using some other cache plugins.
Please check all plugins by deactivating them one by one, maybe due to plugin this issue is coming.
In last if anything does not happen by deactivating plugins.
If you want we can check your theme, make a user for us assign administrator role and send us the username and password along with the site URL.

As per your query, generally there is no need to use pixel size images you can take any sizes and gallery automatically adjust the size of images.
If you are getting images squashed please upload images to the gallery and show them on your site and please provide your site URL.
So, we can check the gallery images squashed.
