We already have an option for adding instagram url inside “We Are Everywhere section” .

Hello Deanna Bafundo,

You simply need to replace the theme default image with yours.
Changes the image under the name “defaultbanner.jpg” with yours inside images folder of parent theme.

Hello, I can’t edit my Gallery. Also the shortcode doesn’t work and the sample pictures are not there.
I made an own gallery and bound that in. But in that one, the Pictures wont get bigger if you click on them.
what can I do for fixing the gallery/fixing the zoom problem?

Here is the details of your query.

No need to add the shortcode to show gallery on home page gallery section.

To show “Gallery” on home page follow the below steps.

1. Go to dashboard -> Gallery (at the bottom) -> Add new gallery –> ( Screenshot: https://www.screencast.com/t/mFTcJPrC)

2. Add the gallery images there. ( Screenshot: https://www.screencast.com/t/0AOsCb8ww8F) Once you have done with this. You can see your added gallery on your home page.

Show gallery by shortcode:

In order to show gallery to any post, pages. follow the below steps:

1. Open your created gallery and copy the id from the URL. (Screenshot: https://www.screencast.com/t/226bfiWZBF).

2. Then add the shortcode to your page or post [vw-galleryshow vw_gallery=4 numberofitem=8] (Screenshot: https://www.screencast.com/t/s5CxH4wt). And replace the id with your id which you have taken above.

3. You can also set the number of images to show on the gallery by editing this field numberofitem=8.

The shortcode you have used is wrong. (Screenshot: https://www.screencast.com/t/KpQX6juveKI). Used the shortcode I have specified above for post or pages. No need to add a shortcode for the home page.

I can not get the vide to display in the Trainer section. I have tried both youtube embed code and the link.

Hello Deanna Bafundo,

To add video in the trainer section you will need to add “embed video Link”.

For example: If you want this video “https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MpUj-Aua48”. Then copy embed code from there.

It’s embed code is:

Take the src from the above code https://www.youtube.com/embed/2MpUj-Aua48 and add it in customizer trainer video section. It will work.

I have open a ticket for your concern, you also have a got mail which have the solution of it.

Here is the documentation for fitness: http://www.vwthemes.net/docs/vw-fitness/

Before customization of home page section. Follow the below step to setup home page.

Go to dashboard -> pages -> Add new page -> Label it “home” or anything as you wish -> select template “home-page”. (See image: select-template.png)

Then Go to Setting -> Reading –> Set the front page display static page to home page. (See image: set-page-as-home.png)

Once you have done with this. You will see all the sections on your homepage.

I worked thank you. Now i am trying to change theme colours blue & green to my preferred and not being able to. The docs file did not clearly show how.

Hello Malvern,

Each section has a setting to change the background color and image option from customizer. You can set the background color to whatever blue or green.

HI,
Is there a way to upload or embed a video onto the homepage on the VWTheme. I see that there is an area in the Trainers section, but it doesn’t highlight the trainers – it’s general video. Thanks,

Hi Marie,

Ofcourse you can upload as many videos as you want on homepage below any section through hooks using child theme.

PLease refer the documentation where hooks are given after each and every section of homepage.

Just with the help of hooks you can place your code (embedded video) and can make it appear on homepage.
