If you can’t fix this, it means I have top replace this theme entirely. If that is the case, i want my money back.

    Hi,

How you would like to display the image.

If you can provide us the reference we can try to achieve your requirements.

Kindly let us know what you think about it.

We will happy to help you always.

    Thank You

I’m not sure what other references you require. You have administrator access to my site. That means you have access to every page that I created. So you can see each Featured Image I uploaded on each of the Pages that corresponds to the LEARN MORE links on each Slider Image that I had installed on the original child theme. Did you try creating a test Page, uploading a Featured Image and seeing if it would appear on your child theme 2, or on the original template? Or did you just create a new child theme?

    Hi,

We have created a test page for you in the post to display the featured images.

    https://tripsbygreg.com/2019/04/test-page-for-showing-feature-image-in-blog-pages/

Kindly check it out and tell us what difficulties you are facing with the feature images now.

So that we can proceed further.

Thank you for your efforts. Your fixes are not solving the problem. Please refer to the original messages in this thread. The issue has nothing to do with blog posts AND NEVER DID. Please look at the WordPress dashboard for my site. Posts appear on blogs. Pages appear elsewhere on the site, connected to permalinks. The problem is with PAGES, not — I repeat, NOT — Posts. This has nothing to do with Posts or blogs. Please send me nothing else about Posts or blogs where this issue is concerned.

There are pages that are supposed to be linked to the LEARN MORE buttons on the seven images I had in the homepage slider. Those pages are supposed to give the option of upholding a Featured Image and a Banner Image. When the Pages are published, the Banner Images appear, but the Featured Images do not.

Again, this has nothing to do with POSTS, which are for blog articles. Please note the titles of this thread. It makes no mention of posts. This is what happens:

    1) I open the wp-admin page for my site, the dashboard
    2) I open Pages and click on Add New
    3) I write the text for the new Page
    4) I upload a pic as the Featured Image
    5) I upload a pic for the Banner Image
    6) I copy the URL created under Permalink
    7) I return to the Dashboard
    8) I scroll my cursor over the site name and click on Visit Site
    9) Once the homepage opens, I click on Customize
    10) I click on VW Settings
    11) I click on Slider Settings
    12) I scroll down to Slide Button Text and change the text to LEARN MORE
    13) I scroll down to Slide Link and paste in the URL for the page that corresponds to that image
    14) I scroll back up and click Publish
    15) On a separate tab, I open the site
    16) I click on the LEARN MORE button on the image. The Page opens. The Banner Image appears on the page. The Featured Image does not.

There is some kind of code conflict that is blocking the Featured Image. That is what you need to fix.

    Hi,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.

We did not get what you have asked for. We get it to know.

We have a login to your account to add a code to display the featured image but the files are not updating.

Could you please check it out and get back to us as soon as possible.

We will surely resolve your problem.

    Thank you

If you haven’t already done so, I will flush the cache and see if that helps.

The situation on the site has not changed. When you say the files are not updating, are you saying the login is not giving you access to the site, or the files on the site itself are not updating?

    Hi,

    Thank you for choosing us!

We have tried to update the theme files in your WordPress account but it is not updating that and giving the following error message:

Something went wrong. Your change may not have been saved. Please try again. There is also a chance that you may need to manually fix and upload the file over FTP.

    https://nimb.ws/NWMz1r

We need to add some code to display the featured image so that it resolves the problem which you are facing right now.

Kindly check and let us know how can we update the file.

    Thank You

Okay. Let me be sure I understand this. You need to update the theme files in my WordPress account, but the files are refusing to update. Does this mean you need FTP access to the site?

    Hi,

    Thanks for understanding.

If you can resolve the issue so that we can update the files. Then we will update the files.

Kindly check if you can update the files using FTP or not.

    Thank You

I have FTP access to my site. Which files do I need to update and where do I find them?

    Hi,

You just need to add the following code in the page.php file which comes under your theme folder:

Just copy and paste the code just below the <div class=”container”>
    <div class=”col-md-12″> this class:

    Paste only the below code:

    <?php if (has_post_thumbnail()){ ?>
    <?php the_post_thumbnail(); ?>
    <?php } ?>

Saves the files and add the feature image to the pages.

If you have any query before implementing this please ask. You have to do the changes in your parent theme i.e VW Tour Pro.

    Thank You

Okay. Will try in the WordPress editing area first, then FTP if necessary. Once I add this to the parent theme, will my original child theme work or do I need to use your Child Theme 2?
