Further update:

I’ve tried the same thing with Blog Right Sidebar and Blog Left Sidebar templates. The same issue happens. A change in the Blog Right Sidebar template mistakenly changes the Blog Left Sidebar template as well when it should not.

The templates for Blog and Page that show both Left and Right Sidebars work as intended.

I did fix this through reading through some other posts. For the sake of anyone else who happens to read this thread, I needed to change the template for the Home Page to “Home Page” instead of “Default”. That then dealt with the issue and the Slider began to work.

I now have a separate issue in that any more two slides in the show and it freezes at the second one and won’t go onto the third (or more). But I’ll do as you suggest and send you an email about that!
