Software doesn’t match instructions

I am trying to build a slider. When I choose “customize”, then look for “VW Settings”, I don’t find it as a menu option as described by the instructions. Instead, I find “theme settings”. The instructions tell me to create a page for each slider page, then use VW Settings to find the slider settings. Since I have “theme settings” instead, I chose that and find “slider settings”, however this tool doesn’t give me the ability to identify the pages created to make the slider. So, the instructions don’t match the behavior of the template.

Also, I tried 4 times to get help via the live chat on your website, and never once received a response of any kind. I have to wonder if the chat box is just for show and I cannot expect help via that method.
