Location of the widgets

Is there somewhere a tutorial that shows me the location of the widgets in templates so i dont have to do a trial on error everytime? Now i am using the free Gym template . Hope someone can help.

many thanks for the reply.
What is mean is the following:
when i go into mydashboard, to the Widget part, i see many loction for then widges.
I see a Blog sidebar, i see a page sidebar, a sidebar 3 , footer navigation 1,2,3,4
and so on.
But when i ad somethings do these, most of them dont work.
How do i know the location of these widgets and if they can be used in the Theme?

All the Widgets work? Because when i try different ones beside the sidebar, they dont work.

tried many ones. Tried for example to put widgets in the footer, but they dont show up. A picture that shows where the sidebars, footer and all the others are existing, would be very usefull
