How to properly install a child template?

How correctly should I install a child template? For VW Gardening Landscaping Template I used addons “Child Theme Configurator Plugin Version: 2.6.0 Author: Lilaea Media”. I activated the template. I noticed that the graphics on the subpages were missing, so I switched the page back to the parent template. The parent template also lacks graphics (I didn’t check if they were there before), after switching to the child template, it requires activation again. I was importing demo pages for Ibtana not for Gutenberg.

Is the link to the manual for the full version of the template missing on the page?

Thank you for your answer. I checked paths to files that are not showing up. There were no files in the indicated places or they had a zero value (…/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/services2.jpg). The rights were correct and the needed files were in the template package under different names. I will reinstall the template and try to repeat the installation on another hosting, if it repeats I will continue the thread.
