How to kill Mega menu? Its ON, despite it being UNCHECKED in Appearance / Menus.

Looks like something’s gone wrong. Wait a couple seconds, and then try again.

I seem to be facing a simple but important issue. I am installing the site using VW Fitness Pro and frequently receive the message from the Customizer “Looks like something’s gone wrong. Wait a couple seconds, and then try again.” A few changes eventually get posted but usually they do not. I have gone through documentation, loaded the sample site and watched the videos, and finally I reloaded the theme, using both the WordPress dashboard and ftp but the result is the same.

I have seen a message that I should have received a zip file “vw-fitness-child_1.0.zip” (but that was coupled with with v1.0.4 and I am trying to use 1.0.9).

Am I doing something wrong?
